Light that changes the room.

Good lighting changes how a room feels. Smart controls make it easier to move between cooking, working, relaxing and entertaining, without a complicated sequence of switches or an app for every adjustment.

LIGHT, AS PART OF THE ARCHITECTURE / ILLUSTRATIVE

The fittings.
The controls.
The feeling.

Make the room feel right.

We start with the different ways each room is used. An evening scene may bring several circuits down together; an arrival setting might light the hallway and kitchen. The right scene is the one you use naturally. We consider wall controls as carefully as app operation, so guests and family can use the room without instructions.

The right details make the difference.

Dimming performance depends on the fittings, lamps, drivers and controls working together. Existing wiring and available space also affect the options. We assess these details before proposing equipment, whether the project involves an existing installation or lighting being planned as part of a refurbishment.

Bring it into your wider home.

Lighting can work with occupancy, schedules or a wider home automation system where supported. Technologies such as Loxone, Shelly and Sonoff offer different possibilities, with suitability determined by the project. We discuss manual overrides, reliable everyday operation and the behaviour you want when connectivity is unavailable.

Plan the work around the property.

Renovations and new builds provide opportunities to consider cabling early. Existing homes need a careful look at what can be adapted and how much disruption is acceptable. We agree the controls and configuration scope, and identify any electrical work and coordination required before installation begins.

Do I need to replace all my lights?

Not necessarily. Existing circuits and fittings may be suitable, but compatibility and dimming behaviour need checking. We can discuss a single room first and plan around what is already installed.

Working across the South.

We work with homeowners across the South of England, including Sussex. Share your location, the stage of your project and what you would like to achieve. We’ll discuss the scope, installation practicalities and the next step.

For renovations and new builds, an early conversation helps identify cabling and coordination needs before finishes are in place.

Connected should also mean considered.

We consider network separation, account access and update responsibilities as part of the design. HomeTech draws on M-Tech’s cyber security experience to help you make informed choices about your connected home.
